We are looking for a passionate Senior Java Engineer: Backend Systems & DevOps with 5-7 years of experience to design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications and services, while working with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications and services.
- Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow best practices in software engineering, design patterns, and secure coding standards.
- Contribute to Agentic SDLC initiatives by utilizing AI-driven automation for development, testing, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Work with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support infrastructure automation and deploy cloud-native applications using modern cloud technologies and best practices.
- Monitor application performance, health, and reliability using appropriate logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects, and Platform teams to support business and data-related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, operational standards, and best practices throughout the development and deployment process.
- Participate in Agile activities, maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams, deployment procedures and contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 5+) and frameworks such as Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Good to have – Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Azure App Service
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure DevOps
- Azure Storage
- Azure Key Vault
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and Git version control.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and access control mechanisms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
- Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven software development practices.
